​​Jas’s work reflects her Afro-Caribbean culture and identity; she was a national competitor for a 2022 Watson Foundation Fellowship for her project “Bridging Two Worlds: Navigating Blackness in Classical Music,” and she intends to continue to empower and spotlight artists of the African diaspora through her work and musical output.

Recognized by The New York Times for her "tender and yearning solos" and New York Classical Review for her "reflective tone", Jas Ogiste is a New York City-based classical pianist. Jas currently serves as a Staff Pianist for The Harlem Chamber Players and Sugar Hill Salon Chamber Music. she previously served as a Researcher for WQXR’s podcast, "Every Voice with Terrance McKnight". Jas has been mentored by renowned musicians Jiayin Li, Haewon Song, Jessica Meyer, Laurie Carney, Christina and Michelle Naughton, and Peter Basquin. She has been heard in performance halls throughout New York City, including the United Palace Theater, Kaufman Music Center’s Merkin Hall, The Harlem School of the Arts, and Lincoln Center. As a member of the Manhattan Quintet at the Manhattan School of Music, they were selected to join the Orchestra of St. Lukes’ 2024 Young Artist Program and Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center's 2024-25 season.
